Washing and Care


All collections feature robust knit designs made from durable upcycled materials. Some collections are machine washable, please refer to product pages for washing instructions.

#Wash shoes separately from other laundry and be careful of color transfer when washing with light-colored items.
#It is recommended to hand wash with a shoe-specific detergent or a neutral detergent in lukewarm water.
#After washing, remove moisture thoroughly and dry in a well-ventilated area.

Shoe Cleaning
  • Machine washable shoes:
  • 1. Remove the insole and shoelaces.
  • 2. Put the shoes in a laundry net.
  • 3. Add a mild detergent (harsh detergents can affect the uppers and outsoles of the shoes).
  • 4. Wash in cold water on 'Delicate cycle' (hot water can damage the color and shape).
  • 5. Lay flat in the shade and let dry naturally.
  • 6. Wash the insole in a separate laundry net.
  • Non-machine washable shoes:
  • 1. Use the VIVAIA cleaning kit.
  • 2. Slightly wet the top surface and gently scrub it with a soft brush or toothbrush.
  • 3. Dust on the upper part of the shoe can be cleaned off with just a soft brush.
  • 4. Do not soak your shoes in water (this may damage the insole board).
  • 5. Stuff the inside of your shoes with newspaper and let them dry naturally overnight.

  • Waterproof Shoe Washing Guide:
  • Light soiling: Gently wipe the top of the shoe with a soft brush to remove any dirt.
  • Dirt Stains: Wipe away stains with a soft bristle brush and mild detergent.
  • Sole cleaning: Use a stiff brush to scrub stains off the sole with cleaning foam.
  • Washing the strings: Remove the strings and wash them separately.
  • After drying the surface of the shoes, let them dry naturally in a well-ventilated area. After drying, store them in a shoe box or in a cool place.
